the team
The rare combination this problem needs
DG
Daniel Goddard
Co-founder and CEO
Ran claims operations at a top-5 US P&C carrier, where his org handled roughly 4M claims a year. Knows exactly where LAE hides and why claims feel broken.
PN
Priya Nair
Co-founder and CTO
Applied-ML leader in document AI and LLM adjudication. Built production OCR and decisioning systems at scale before Snap Claim.
ME
Marcus Ellison
Chief Claims and Actuarial Officer
Fifteen years across carrier claims and pricing, FCAS. Owns model governance, reserve integrity and the state regulator relationships carriers demand.

DG
Co-founder and CEO
Daniel Goddard
Daniel spent over a decade in claims operations at a top-5 US property and casualty carrier, rising to run an organization that handled roughly four million claims a year. He watched loss adjustment expense compound at every handoff between first notice of loss and final payment, and concluded the industry's cost problem was a workflow problem, not a headcount problem. He built Snap Claim's first carrier relationships himself, running founder-led sales into the first seven live carriers and closing every one of them as a personal reference. At Snap Claim he owns strategy, executive-level carrier partnerships, and the regulatory and capital relationships that get a claims-automation platform connected to a live book.

PN
Co-founder and CTO
Priya Nair
Priya led applied machine learning teams building document AI and large-language-model adjudication systems before joining Snap Claim, shipping production OCR and decisioning pipelines that processed claims documents at enterprise scale. She joined Daniel to build the adjudication engine that now runs straight-through processing at 41 percent across seven live carriers, with a roadmap that takes it past 60 percent by Year 3. She owns the model architecture, the engineering team, and the research roadmap that takes a claim from a phone photo to a paid decision without a human touching it.

Chief Claims and Actuarial Officer
Marcus Ellison
Marcus spent fifteen years across carrier claims operations and actuarial pricing, and holds his FCAS designation. He joined Snap Claim to own model governance, reserve integrity, and the state regulator relationships that carriers require before they connect a live book to a third-party adjudication platform. He is the reason Snap Claim's models clear carrier and regulatory scrutiny fast enough to move from pilot to production, and he leads the finance and claims-operations hiring that scales human-in-the-loop review as carrier count grows.

mission
Make the sixty-second claim the default, not the exception
Snap Claim exists because a routine claim should not take days to weeks and a chain of manual handoffs to close. We built an end-to-end AI adjudication platform that takes a claim from first notice of loss to a paid decision in under a minute, so carriers stop paying loss adjustment expense for work a model can do correctly the first time.
vision
The adjudication layer every US carrier runs claims through
In three years we want straight-through processing above 60 percent and Snap Claim live inside more than 50 carriers, multi-line by default across personal and small-commercial books. We are building the infrastructure layer that makes claims automation something a carrier turns on, not something it spends years building in-house.

next hires
The five roles we're hiring next
01
Senior ML / Adjudication Engineer
Straight-through processing is the core product bet, climbing from 41 percent today toward 46 percent this year and 61 percent by Year 3. We need a second strong ML engineer alongside Priya to scale the adjudication models across new carriers and lines.
02
Enterprise Carrier Partnerships Lead
Carrier sales has been founder-led through the first seven live accounts. We're hiring a dedicated partnerships lead to run the six-to-nine-month pilot-to-live-book pipeline as we scale toward sixteen carriers this year.
03
Claims Operations Lead
A majority of claims still need human-in-the-loop review while straight-through processing climbs. We need a claims operations lead to scale that review team without it becoming the bottleneck.
04
Finance Lead
Marcus currently owns finance alongside model governance and actuarial work. We're hiring a finance lead to report into him, own carrier billing and LAE-shared pricing, and run the numbers behind our next round.
05
Model Governance & Compliance Manager
SOC 2 Type II and the state DOI approval path are core to getting a new carrier connected. We need a dedicated compliance and model governance manager working alongside our regulatory advisor to keep that path fast as we add carriers.
